The Hong Kong-based three-star Michelin chef will be bring his signature charm to the main stage both days
Performing on the main stage of Taste MIGF at 2pm during both days on 24 and 25 September will be world-renowned Chef Albert Au, the youngest three-star Chinese cuisine chef in the world. He will be cooking up some of his signature dishes, while bringing his unique charisma and sense of humour to the public.
A true pioneer in the kitchen, Chef Albert’s creations are set to wow the crowd at Berjaya Times Square Hotel Kuala Lumpur.
“Taste MIGF is a very exciting event that I would definitely visit even if I wasn’t a chef myself just to find out what is happening and to keep track of all the new restaurants in Malaysia. For my cooking demonstrations, I will be hoping to introduce Cantonese cuisine like the Malaysian public has never seen before,” said Chef Albert, who is being sponsored for his appearance by Lee Kum Kee and hosted by Festival participating restaurant Five Sen5es at Westin Kuala Lumpur.
“Since I love to use the freshest ingredients, I will have to see what I can find at the market that morning and utilise them in some exciting ways.”
Having spent his career scouring the globe looking for the finest ingredients to introduce to his dishes, Chef Albert is a great admirer of Malaysian cuisine and has suggested that there may be some Malaysian influences in his Taste MIGF demonstration.
In previous years, the main stage of Taste MIGF has seen culinary wizards such as Malaysia’s own Chef Wan as well as some of the Festival Master Chefs from participating restaurants. Chef Albert continues the fabulous tradition of attracting the most entertaining and knowledgeable chefs in the region to perform in front of visitors to the culinary spectacular.
But as for what exactly he’ll be cooking on the stage? The only way to find out is head to Taste MIGF at Berjaya Times Square Hotel on 24 and 25 September!
